Well-known events such as the Swiss Economic Forum (SEF) this year have chosen the guiding topic of agility and debated on how people and organizations can thrive during change.
The magnitude of such events and the large interest proves that we are well aware of the major changes lying ahead. A glimpse into this year's SEF agenda is provided here.
But SEF 2016 is only the beginning of a wider movement. Understanding change and proactively shaping digitalization is being picked up by several other opinion leaders as well. For example by the NZZ X.Days, a thought-provoking forum around your strategic approach to digital transformation, which is happening early next year in Interlaken. Currently, the NZZ X.Days display the following agenda for the 2017 event:
STRATEGIC PROGRESS
THAT'S WHAT X.DAYS 2016 OFFERS
1. UNDERSTANDING
By taking part in X.Days, you will gain comprehensive and specific expertise on the subject of digital transformation.
2. THE MOST RECENT TRENDS
Curent technologies and trends are looked at across the industry; perspectives are offered, and the technologies and trends are carefully classified.
3. STRATEGY
You will develop a comprehensive awareness of igital change, in particular the opportunities and risks it represents for individual business on a strategic level.
4. PLAN OF ACTION
Analysis, inspiration and use cases make you to directly transfer what you learn into your area of work.
Such forums provide 'change' as a wider topic more airtime which excites us. In the meanwhile, we remain curious how Switzerland adapts and what our country will look like in five years from now. Globally, we're doing well when it comes to innovation: In 2015, Switzerland still leads the Global Innovation Index (GII) which is mainly due to our political freedom according to the GII.
To foster more innovation going forward, creating an even friendlier start-up ecosystem will be key to keep innovation rising. To contribute to this, we actively support several start-ups in the digital and climate mitigation areas. More stories to follow soon!
